Dynamite shooting in Los Angeles /
In early February I had a marathon travel work week that started in Los Angeles for two days, then an overnight flight to Madrid for two days, followed by another overnight flight to Miami for two days, then back to Barcelona for a night before heading to Madrid for a week for Mercedez Benz Fashion Week Madrid.
The shooting in LA was for a Canadian brand called Dynamite (Dynamite.ca) and we had a super fun team and great time shooting in one of the most landmark houses in Los Angeles, the Sheats Goldstein Residence. Owned by James Goldstien, we passed the two days shooting in his house made of glass overlooking the LA skyline. The house was designed by John Lautner, a student of Franklin Lloyd Wright. This amazing residence comes complete with a tennis court located on top of the private nightclub that was still under construction and thousands of tropical plants imported from Hawaii and other far away places. Super fun times with the gorgeous American model Heide Lindgren, shot by an awesome chick Kate Bellm.

Holidaze in Greece (June 2013) /
long beach days and warm starry nights spent exploring santorini, folegandros and athens. soft skin stuck to black volcanic sands, amazing lookouts, lots of stairs and broke down motos. Countless iced cappuchinos, fresh greek salads and sunset joints. two weeks under the hot greek sun side by side. Here's to needing a flashback of those special together days, while now in this moment the distance feels unbearable.

we all have the ocean inside us - shantaram /
“Our life, it probably began inside of the ocean. About four thousand million years ago. And for almost all of tha long time, all the living things were water things, living inside the sea. Then a few hundred million years ago, maybe a little more – just a little while, really, in the big history of the earth – the living things began to be living on the land as well. But in a way you can say that after leaving the sea, after all those millions of years of living inside of the sea, we took the ocean with us. When a woman makes a baby, she gives it water, inside her body, to grow in.That water inside her body is almost exactly the same as the water of the sea. It is salty, by just the same amount. She makes a little ocean, in her body. And not only this. Our blood and our sweat, they are both salty, almost exactly like the water from the sea is salty. We carry oceans inside of us. And we are crying the oceans, in our tears.”

Marrakech Photo Diary /
I went to Morocco for three days at the end of January to shoot two editorials for a magazine based in Milan, F Moda. I went with one of my favorite photographer teams, the beautiful talented couple Andoni & Arantxa! The amazing styling was by Monica Rodegher assisted by Angelica Torelli. Make up by Marina D'Andrea and hair by Armando Cherillo.
The first two nights we stayed inside the Medina of Marrakech at a Riad Dar Darma which was amazing. We shot the first editorial on the terrace of the riad under the hot moroccan sun.
We had our sunny lunch break on the terrace with home cooked meats and fresh salads, it was absolutely delicious!
Best dessert ever....
The wardrobe room looked like an amazing vintage closet, all the creamy whites and safari khakis... amazing styling for the first shooting!!
We walked around after the shooting having a look at all the beautiful things to buy and all the spices and oils and leathers and lights! Had some mint tea overlooking the Plaza de Yamaa el Fna.
wanted to buy all of them....
the beautiful magical Andoni & Arantxa having their morning coffee
The next morning we left the Medina and went to another hotel, The Taj Palace!
Monica, Martina, Aranxta & Angelica
Of course we were flipping out when we arrived to the next location, and we were greeted by roses falling from the ceiling, it was magical! We were greeted with cute little bracelets and delicious mint tea!
And a cold moroccan beer of course!
Unbelievably gorgeous hotel, and there was no one there! It was the soft opening, meaning its opened for only few guests, we we were free to roam around and view everything even the master princess suites! This is also the same hotel where they filmed the second Sex and The City movie.
My room! I felt like a princess i was jumping up and down of excitement!
My bathroom!
The view from the room's terrace overlooking the hot hot desert.
The lobby/library room!
Now for the photos we shot while we were in these amazing locations!

Behind the scenes:
Shooting in Lanzarote, Canary Islands. I thought it would be shooting in a beautiful location somewhere on the island but in fact this jungle is made from the giant jungle in the lobby of the Melia Salinas hotel! The water was freezing cold and i was wearing some ghetto duct-taped thigh-high wet suit boots.

those saint laurent shoes...
i think this one was photoshopped weird and they made me look somehow like lana del ray?
this is my absolute all time favorite dress i've ever worn in a shooting.

today on shopbop.com !
its a good day when you are surrounded by an amazing talented team, shooting all over hot sunny beautiful paris. good vibes and just oh so fun. i was hanging out of balconies on boulevard saint germain, leaning over ledges and splashing barefoot in the dirtiest fountain under the Sacre Coeur of Montmartre. I was melting in fur and even saved a beautiful fur jacket from falling to its death into the seine. Under the bridges of Ile Saint Louis there were piles of shit and it smelled horrible like piss but you wouldn't be able to tell from the photo!
i guess the best part of shooting the trends editorial for shopbop is that i've been a fan of the website for years. I used to shop on it all the time, and when i worked at CD Network in NYC, i've sold them wholesale clothing, and now I get to model for them ... so now the cycle is complete! This is also the first work i've done as a model that will be seen in the US. :)

Jean et Genie, ELLE France august 2012 /
In Paris in June I shot Elle France with the designers with Dean and Dan Caten of Dsquared. It was so much fun, such amazing clothes and styling, and gorgeous hair and makeup. It was a fun prom-dance theme... and a funny bit of information is that Dan and Dean are from Canada but both went to prom in Arizona where they lived during high school, like me! hehehe
Below are the published photos which came out August 3rd in Elle France. And following it are some behind the scene shots i took during the shoot. :)

In November in Milan I did a beautiful retro editorial with Andoni & Arantxa... and now it has just been published in Prestige Magazine in Hong Kong and View of the Times in Spain and elsewhere. Beautiful styling by Michele Bagnara .... marni and yves saint laurent dresses... prada bodysuits... mui mui shoes... ahhhh all so beautiful!
i love the fact that everyone says, ooh, Sofia Loren after they see this editorial, and that i keep getting booked for these retro shoots... so much time and effort in the hair and styling, it must have been so time consuming to be a women back then. In the make up in these shots, the use a strong tape to pull my eyebrows up and back... with an elastic strin
g tied around my head and the wig... in photoshop the tape disappears and I look like i had a facelift!
the beautiful hard working team
